Approving posts without leaving Slack
The slowest part of founder-led content is not writing. It is waiting for the founder to open a tool they do not live in.
We used to send drafts to a dashboard and ask founders to log in and approve. Approval time averaged days.
Then we moved the decision to where they already are.
The mechanic
Each draft posts into a Slack channel with the copy and the image exactly as it will publish. Two reactions decide it:
- ✅ approves and schedules the post into the next open window
- ❌ sends it back to writing with the founder's note
No login, no context switch, no thread of "did you see this?" messages.
Why it works
Approval is a low-effort decision that was trapped behind a high-effort action. Removing the tool from the loop dropped our average approval time from days to minutes, and the calendar stopped having holes in it.
The scheduling, image handling and reporting still live in the app. The only thing we moved out was the one step the founder had to do personally.
